Also fuck Amazon. Due to unfortunate times I ended up working at the local branch for the "peak" season and despite the slightly higher pay rate I received it's an inhuman place to work. There's a series of articles in the Guardian which are spot on in analyses even if my experience wasn't quite as harsh. The worst part is admittedly I got hooked on the easy shopping and delivery they provide, and I fear it's too late to find an alternative.

I live in an area of the UK where being an in-bred fuckwit is compulsory. Around these parts it's a case of 'give me six'. Thank fuck we are planning our exit. J Robert Oppenheimer said of the place 'It has become death, a destroyer of minds'.
I run an on-line business and spend most of my life indoors. This is good because at least I don't have to interact with the locals.
Unfortunately, my partner, who has a very demanding job, is away from home for up to 13 hours a day. When they get home, all they want to do is crash.
I was running in summer and my knee went. After almost 3 months, it hadt shown few signs of improvement and so was forced to visit the local doctor. He arranged for an MRI scan and also asked me to take part in a survey, given the high rate of suicide in these parts. About 10 days later, I got a call from the surgery asking me to book an appointment to discuss my MRI scan and the survey results.
The survey results indicated that I was spending far too much time alone and that this was neither good for my mental nor physical health and, in fact, could reduce my life span. He suggested I get a job where I could interact with others - even if it was only on a part-time basis. That is entirely feasible since my business is totally automated although I mostly run manually.
The only job that I could find was working for a company called 'B & M'. It's a nationwide chain of stack 'em high, sell 'em cheap supermarkets. Says it all of this area.
Anyways, I applied for a job, got an interview and was offered a job for a start 2 days later.
Fuck me, the manager that interviewed me was a complete and utter fucking moron with the IQ of a plant. I met some of the store staff. They were complete drongos.
From the sound of it, for Amazon, read B & M, or vice versa.
Basically, I couldn't do that to myself, so I rejected their 'kind offer' and we fucked off to New York City for Christmas and New Year.
Sir, you have my sympathy and admiration for doing something I couldn't even imagine doing. Had I, I fear my mind would now be in a far worse state than it already is.
May you encounter better times real soon.
Bless you.
