I was at a primate sanctuary in Asscrack, TX a few weeks ago. There are hundreds of macaques running around free(ish), the descendants of monkeys brought over from Japan 40 years ago. Anyway they have specific warning calls to differentiate between rattlesnakes and bull snakes (and coyotes and bobcat), none of which exist in Japan.
Semanticity - vocal labelling and categorising -

Kavanagh did a lot of field work with, I think, vervet monkeys in the 80's
also Seyfarth and Cheney (1980).

Interesting stuff if you like that sorta thing........

Fascinating - but if he wasn't on a lead, would he make a break for a sneaky big-mac?

No seriously, It is well known that bonobos love to indulge in gay sex and take pride in being well groomed. So of course they can cook, they're probably really good at interior design as well.

Dog skull found in Siberia is 33,000 years old - and hints that man's best friend didn't come from one single ancestor

I am currently training a dolphin to fill out tax returns using voice-recognition technology and an electric prod.

Victus may find this interesting as it gives a whole new perspective to productivity.
