Becky Fischer, who runs an evangelical summer camp where children as young as six are encouraged to "take back America for Christ," says indoctrinating children is not only right but essential.
Fischer is the central character in "Jesus Camp," a documentary about Pentecostal evangelical Christians, some of whom send their children to summer camps where they pray, "speak in tongues" and are encouraged to campaign against abortion.
"Extreme liberals, they have to look at this and start shaking in their boots," Fischer says in the film, which was showing at the Tribeca Film Festival this week.
With no voice-over or commentary, the movie follows Fischer at events for children in North Dakota and Missouri.
In one scene a cardboard President George W. Bush is brought on stage at an assembly so attendees can pray that he make America "one nation under God." In another a preacher shows plastic models of tiny fetuses and leads a prayer saying: "God end abortion, and send revival to America."

Wow, these people should be jailed for child abuse.

How can they not see how crazy this is? Can you imagine (if you have a child) your 7 year old coming home one day talking in tongues and convulsing? You'd take him/her to see Cal immediately. This article makes me SICK>

Well the evangelicals dont like evolution so biology is out. Newton is also a little shaky so physics is gone along with calculus. Galileo and Copernicus were heretics so there goes astronomy and heliocynsytricity. Euclidean was crazy so geometry is out. Egyptians, Greeks, and Mesopotamians were daemon worshipers so no Trigonometry...

All they would end up teaching is that pi=3, the world is 5000 years old, and people can come back from the dead but only after 3 days (else the magick would not work)...

Truly these people should feel sickened by themselves, what they are doing is equivalent to Hitler's brainwashing of the Hitler-Jugend. It is tragic to see young minds lost at such an early age, their parents severely restricting their learning capacity by placing them inside the confines of religion.

Because they want to guide how the little ones vote when they get older, myfriend.
They want to make it more likely that the little ones themselves preach to others thus reinforcing the "great chain".

Well this happen all of the time. In Christ-psychosis infected America, the problem is that the news media seldom reports it. We see snake handlers for Christ ( some get killed ) and their children are encouraged to do it. We see home schooling with christ-psychosis infected parents encouraging their children to develope the same dangerous psychosis they are infected with. We can see the dysfunctional Phelps family doing it to their children also. It happens all of the time in Sunday babble school throught Christ-psychosis infected America!. Some times this insane behavior produced by the illness is spoted by the press, but since 80% of the news media are also infected with Christ-psychosis they do NOT SEE the anomaly except in the severe cases, as is this "evangelical psychosis inducing camp".

People that work in perfume factories do not notice the smell of perfume!! In the same way Christ-psychosis infected America do not realize 80% of the country is under this devastating mental illness!.

First, religious beliefs which are based in irrational crazy delusions been accepted as reality, MUST be define by neurologists for the mental illness they are.

Second, American neurologists, biologists and other scientists must be given BALLS and injected with Spanish-Italian blood so they loose their cowardness, meekness, and inferiority puscillaneous complex.

Third, After religious beliefs are defined for the form of neurological condition they are (mild form of schizophrenia triggered by Borna virus infection?) these folks must be committed. Churches must have warning signs in their doors, just like tobbacco products have.

Fourth. Parents or teaching institutions that corrupt children brains with these dangerous psychosis triggering religious tales, will be severy punished and fine heavely. One year in a mental institution where neurological vision corrective glasses can be given.
