Blush God Co-equal With Nature.

Hello, its been a while since I through out a new argument to support "Gods" existence.

So here it is (enjoy!)

What's interesting about the argument, is that no Theist from any recognized religion will agree with it, because it places Nature, co-equal with God.

"God evolved from Nature"

1) Existence is infinite or eternal. True non existence has no potential to produce anything Since we can attest that things obviously do exist, existence must therefore be eternal.
2) Agency for change is also infinite or eternal. If there was ever an existent state of affairs without agency, all processes would stop and existence would be frozen without potential for change. This is not the case, hence agency must therefore also be co-eternal with existence.
3) From 1 + 2, it is clear that there has been an infinite series of changes of state which have already occurred, prior to our present time.
4) We know from experience that given enough time complex beings (e. g. conscious beings, such as human beings) will occasionally spontaneously arise.
5) Over an infinite period of time, conscious beings must have over an eternity, appeared, decayed or were destroyed, and then appeared again, and then again decayed or were destroyed, until something magical happened.....
6) Eventually over an eternity of cosmological change, one such entity of supreme power, likely of unimaginable intelligence found away to prevent or defend itself, such that it would NOT decay and NOT be destroyed.
7) Hence, it is reasonable that a Higher Power (which we could name God) has been eternally spawned from Nature.

Note, this God is not necessarily Good, as by this cosmic natural selection account the Higher Power is only posited to be supremely powerful and likely supremely intelligent. But still...

Your friendly Neighborhood Theist.

PS - Many thanks to the website for adding spell-check. English is not my first language so thank you all for putting up with me in the past.

So... Spinoza.
The Bhagavadgita (or any of the Vedantic texts).

Nice as a philosophical argument, when put forward correctly.

But I wouldn't hang a jacket on it....

"Until something magical happened"

I think I've found the major flaw in the hypothesis.

That's not the only problem. It also starts with two baseless, unproven assumptions, moves on to invoking "magic", then turns into a story by stating that this "magic" being found a way to keep itself alive without any reasoning behind it.

The whole thing is terrible, frankly.

But, Magic is the very apotheosis of god (TM) thinking.....Without magic where would god hang out ?

But, it has to be "special magic" otherwise we'd be awash with unicorns, pixies, elves and Zeuses.........

Yep, that's it.....Nature = special god magic..

I quit like the idea of a sneaky ninja deity.....hiding in full view disguised as a tree....

Nice! Ninja god = very good at hiding. It might explain everything.

I thought I heard him jump onto my roof last night though. It had me gripping my samurai sword very tightly.

Why did nature only allow God magic? Was it some magical genetics?

A theist is just an atheist with a space in it.

Andrew's problems started and the argument fell apart when he wrote "I thought".

Isn't cricket a game for men too weak to play proper sports?

It's not that we won, it's that we won by 7 wickets.

But hey, at least there's a chance for the next game -

"Man of the match David Warner (71 from 70 balls), captain Michael Clarke and wicket-keeper Brad Haddin will all be rested from the next match in Perth on Friday, while Shane Watson will not return until the last match in Adelaide."

I've had a brilliant day on the nags. Wifey has just cooked an evening meal to die for and I have a promise on for later (wink, wink, say no more). Life just doesn't get any better.

I though I'd round off an imperious day with a visit to RAF.

I saw a thread entitled 'god co-equal with nature' and thought 'ooh, that looks interesting'.

I got to line 7 and thought, 'Awe, fuck me ...'.

Thanks, Andrew, you just ruined my day with your shash.

'Existence is infinite or eternal' - my unwashed arse it is.

Ever heard of Krauss?
Ever heard of 'A universe from nothing'?

If not, ffs, go to youtube, watch the video, learn and stop writing bollocks like this.

I have no issue with your English but your powers of logic are fucking useless.

The middle man of last resort.
