You are incredibly ignorant and hell-bent on remaining so. Name-calling, particularly in your obvious complete absence of knowledge, does not make you look any smarter.
No comment necessary.

Although it is true that jobby is comically lacking in self-awareness, he's not a theist, as far as I can tell (just a bit of a dense atheist).

And it's 2010 but we're still posting in Merkin's 2009. It's the gestalt of the topic. Though I see it's your thread... so I'll let your ruling stand.

Or maybe Jobby could convert to Catholicism as a personal favor to me.

That's true. When I posted in Merkins 2009, I was thinking that we need to start a new one.

What a pathetic enabler of lunacy you are... In the real world, defending lunacy, lies, gossip and evasions doesn't fly.
Apparently it does, when it concerns the Catholic Church and the biggest enabler of child abuse and rape, Pope Ratzy.

When even Lutherans (liberal branch ) vigorously defend the Pope, you have a credibility problem on your hands.
The secular press has had it in for Joseph Ratzinger for going on three decades. Before his election as Pope in the spring of 2005, he was routinely derided in his homeland as the Panzerkardinal (“tank cardinal”) and caricatured in North America as the “Enforcer” or even the “Rottweiler.” The roots of this negative reputation stretch back at least as far as the book-length interview he granted to the Italian journalist Vittorio Messori that catapulted him to global fame when published as The Ratzinger Report in 1985. …

In addition to the unremitting hostility directed at him from the Modernist wing of his own Communion, even prior to his election as Pope, Ratzinger was a favourite target of the unbelieving world’s impassioned hatred for Christ Jesus our Lord and the members of His mystical body. Some years ago, the British Daily Telegraph (which at one time had the reputation of being a “quality” newspaper) reported that the then cardinal had committed a terrible “gaffe” by publicly expressing hope for the conversion of the Jews. Fancy that, a Christian wishing salvation for a sizeable group of his neighbours, a faux pas indeed! ...

The Canadian mainstream media were frenziedly sharpening their knives against Joseph Ratzinger in the weeks when he was a strong candidate to succeed John Paul II. His papacy was barely a few hours old when the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) evening news ran a segment on an aged Italian woman (a “good Catholic”, of course) who stood crestfallen amid a jubilant crowd as Benedict XVI appeared on the balcony of St. Peter’s, walking dejectedly away as she realized that women’s ordination, contraception, sexual licence, abortion on demand, and all that good stuff would still be denied the papal seal of approval.

Big surprise, a self-styled Christian group comes out in support of another self-styled Christian group which yet other self-styled Christian groups claim is not really a Christian group at all.
We are supposed to give credence to some Lutherans when Evangelicals denounce the RCC as non-Christian. Good luck with that.
We are not responsible for such an internal mish-mash so we need not give any of the warring religious factions any credence.

Some "Good Catholic" had better not let her leaders (by the nose) know that she is reading material from actively heretical (Lutheran) sources.

Awww, that's so cute, Lily. Christians are being treated unfairly, and the rest of the world is out to get them. That makes me soooo sad.

Meanwhile, Ratzy is still covering for child rapists, and their enablers, while trying to save his own skin. Poor victim!

As an unembodied mind, God is a remarkably simple entity. As a non-physical entity, a mind is not composed of parts, and its salient properties, like self-consciousness, rationality, and volition, are essential to it. In contrast to the contingent and variegated universe with all its inexplicable quantities and constants, a divine mind is startlingly simple. Certainly such a mind may have complex ideas—it may be thinking, for example, of the infinitesimal calculus—, but the mind itself is a remarkably simple entity. Dawkins has evidently confused a mind's ideas, which may, indeed, be complex, with a mind itself, which is an incredibly simple entity. Therefore, postulating a divine mind behind the universe most definitely does represent an advance in simplicity, for whatever that is worth.
Ahhhh, self-awareness! If only you could buy some.
