A British court has ruled that the president of the Mormon church doesn't have to answer fraud allegations, and said a lawsuit brought by a former Mormon leader attempts to manipulate the court to attack the religious beliefs of others.

Nice post Sinfidel. It's a great pity that this case didn't go to court, especially in this country. It would have provided much interest.

It's just what I'd expect from a country where the Head of State is also 'Defender of the Faith'. Such a direct confrontation of goodies vs baddies would have been too much for The Establishment to contemplate, and Little ol' Britain doesn't take great leaps - we change slowly, in private and have weasely excuses in place to placate the whining serfs on either side of an argument. Personally, I'd have no problems trying to verify that Mormons and all other god whallopers are fraudulent shit-stains, but what does a drunkard like me know about such deep seated matters.
