he didn't only look like darwin...he was OUR darwin.

so generous, so intelligent, so fair, so gentle, so sharp, so awesome.

this has been a very shitty week, and this adds a lot of sadness to it.

Long Live Sternwallow. I will cherish my memories of him forever. How lucky I was to sit with him in person and enjoy his company. We made him happy that time we visited, and he even said it was one of the highlights of his life.

Our pleasure, Sir.

One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

I've pulled out the little orange bag that Sterny used for our gifts, this is the quote printed on it:

Sniff.

Ironically, at least where he is now, he is devoid of the idiocy he spent his time here successfully highlighting.

A theist is just an atheist with a space in it.

Sterwallow succumbed to cancer

Prof Sol of Think Atheist posted this on my site:

"Hi Cal, Not sure if you will get this.
Just thought I would let you know, Sternwallow lost out to his cancer and removed himself from this mortal coil, a few days ago. Every one who knew him is feeling pretty down at the moment...
As you can imagine.

If you care to send any messages to raving atheist it will be will be most welcome.

Regards
Sol"

I responded to him I had no idea Stern was suffering from cancer ( perhaps it was mentioned and it didn't sink into my mentally healthy aka atheist brain. I feel awful I didn't have the chance to apologize for me been such an AH unable understand the why of his posts...

This will be my only post here for my YouTube videos, " Think Atheist " and my work occupy all of my time and then some.

I only knew him for a short time one here, but he seemed liked a witty and intelligent fellow, and from the way those of you who did know him speak, he sounds like he was as much a treasure in person as he was online.

So he shall be missed, and he shall be remembered. In the end, what else can you ask for?

That's terrible. RIP, Stern.

He will be missed.

Edited: I think two threads just got combined, so my two comments look like a double post.

Back when I first was on this forum, Sternwallow was in full force, and his wisdom and well thought out comments were always insightful and well thought out. I was gone for a long time and am so sorry I did not get to see him when I was finally able to return. He will be missed.

you all know how christains go see the oil slick that looks like jebus, the grilled cheese sandwich, the tortilla, the moldy wall....and pray to it?

we went to see Sternwallow. and he was the real deal.
