Anyway, here is how some of those dates look when viewed on wikipedia -

The edit history shows some of these dates were changed approximately a month ago, the note says "Incorrect Hebrew dates listed for some of the events."), and about 2 months before that, the revision history shows someone changed the dates of the calamaties without explanation.


So, either you have the correct dates, wikipedia has the correct dates, or neither of you do. Either way, what we're seeing is a distinct clash between the two sources.

Looking at the note in wikipedia for #8 (relevant part italicised) -

Barclay, Rabbi Elozor; Jaeger, Rabbi Yitzchok (2003). Guidelines: Over Four Hundred of the Most Commonly Asked Questions About the Three Weeks. Targum Press. ISBN 1-56871-254-5.. Note that July 31 is the Julian calendar date; corrected for the Gregorian calendar it would be August 10.

Now, August 10 is closer to your date, but still not quite there.

I don't want to accuse you of deliberately fudging the dates, I like to think the best of people when I first meet them.

However, if I had to posit a guess, I would say that there is some confusion when converting dates between calendar systems. The "AM" date is converted to a Gregorian calendar date - which just so happens to line up (almost, but not quite) with the "9th of Av" in the Julian calendar, and so the two become confused.


Either way, from first glance it looks to me like several of your supposed "proofs" didn't happen when you want them to have happened. Further investigation might change that, but for now I've got a six-pack and a season of "The Office" calling my name. Sorry.




And even if all those dates did match up, it wouldn't matter. You've got a confirmation fallacy going on here. So many bad things have happened to Jews over the years (a lot directly because of christian bias), that it's not amazing that some of it happens to line up.

I bet I could go through and find many years that bad things happened to the Jews on days that weren't the 9th of Av - years that also happened to have absolutely nothing happen on that supposedly "cursed" date. What happened there? Did god just forget (on the ones where it happened later)? or did he get too impatient and not want to wait smite them? Or does he just have bad aim?

The only way this could work as proof is if bad things always happened to the Jews on that date, and only ever happened to them on that date, and that simply isn't the case.

Meanwhile, wikipedia has this to say on the matter -

It occurred very shortly after the Babi Yar massacre was carried out and the conference was chaired by Reinhard Heydrich. Now, this of course doesn't mention August 2nd, nor Himmler, but I'm unsure where you're getting your dates for this, especially as Himmler was a superior to several of the men attending that conference and (this is me speculating here) it seems he most likely would have been privvy to that information already.


It just seems like your dates are out on this one. I'm curious where you got your information for this, so I can correlate.
