raving atheists...
I don't have much to say and I won't offer any explanations on where I've been for the last year.
I just wanted everyone to know that I DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD and in light of some of the goings on on the RavingAtheist site, you can speculate as to why I had an instinct a year or so ago to separate the forum from RA's site.
Ok, so maybe I will give you a little explanation...
I am a fickle odd person. I get distracted and bored with things very easily. I haven't abandoned this site. I've just lost some interest in it. I had a friend ask me once why I don't use this site to promote myself or make myself internet popular or famous, much like RA. Again, if you knew me personally you'd know, that's not my style. I'm pretty low key.
I come here a lot and I miss the interaction I have with all of you, but 2008 has been a hard year for me and I'm still not ready for whatever it is that it takes to maintain a place like this. I will promise you, this site will not go offline, not while I'm alive anyway.

Happy New Year, Chris!
Here's hoping you have a better 2009.

Yeah happy 2762 auc Chris. 2761 auc ( 2008 ce) has been the WORST year in my 40 years in the Jewelry designing & hand engraving business. I should have gone into the either porn or Zombie Jesus selling business... ..but hey, we have to be optimistic. It'll get better, we'll have a mentally healthy aka atheist brother as POTUS.
Christians and other folks infected with delusional beliefs think and reason like schizophrenics or temporal lobe epileptics. Their morality is dictated by an invisible friend called Jesus.

Hey Chris, good to hear you reaffirm your lack of belief.
Happy New Year. I hope 2009 is a great year for you. Thanks for all you've done here.

Chris!!!
so happy to see you!
the boys have been good.....thanks for keeping us here....
really miss you and hope to see more of you this year!!
One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

Your support for this site has made you pretty darned internet popular and famous to me at least.
I am grateful for all of the interactions I have had here and your, however tenuous, oversight of it.

I thought we were splintering off to form a weird cult, in which we'd wear matching track suits and running shoes. Anyway I was hoping.

Only if they're genuine Adidas track suits, not those ones with the four stripes you buy at K-Mart.

We could take field trips to amusement parks and try to convert people to our cult. How cool would that be?

Chris,
Good to hear from you again. I just wanted to mention how much I appreciate this forum, and the fact that you keep it running for us.

Maybe Chris had an inkling that the Raving Twat would make us all wear matching pyjamas...
