Senator Frothy Mix wants to ban contraception too, so I guess the Possum Family are a natural constituency.

Well, I guess this will boost his standing in the race for the presidency - and with that record, perhaps he should apply for the papacy.

Santorum is just a distraction. We're addicted to entertainment in the U.S. Romney will be the GOP's standard bearer once the dust settles in a few months.

Obama's mom was really Jesus in drag. Nobody told you?

Jesus in drag is currently manifesting as Hillary Clinton. He also briefly appeared as Monica Lewinsky. That's why Bill told us he never had sex with that woman. He knew.

Not there or doesn't care.

No. Nobody ever told me that Jesus did drag or that God was half-black, but it just might kill Christianity, once and for all, if everybody else was let in on that secret.

Mitt-bot readies for battle with Santorum

If there weren't steroid-crazed jocks kicking the shit out of each other in the NFL this weekend, I would almost be inclined to watch the latest round of Republican debates. It seems that bloated slug-thing Newt Gingrich is in his death throes, and there's a chance he's going to take the whole circus tent down with him.

He's right, isn't he?

The problem -- and paradoxically, the strength -- of U.S.-style libertarianism is that the same can be said to be true of traditional liberals. The ideology attracts people from both sides of the politico-spectrum, but it can also repel the same people for different reasons. If you happen to be a single-issue voter you might love or hate Ron Paul, depending on your issue.

In other words progressives and conservatives are authoritarian, just about different topics. I agree.

In other words libertarians are authoritarian, just in different ways. (Shifting authority to states, e.g., or investing more all authority into a judiciary.) I agree.

Not if you, well, look up what the word means.

Libertarians don't want to shift authority to states, but away from the government in general (federal, state, and municipal) and towards individuals. You're talking about Federalism.

Fewer laws mean less authority for the judiciary as well.
