The words "fundamental" and "fundamentalist" have as their root the word "fundament." Can we now say that fundamentalists are buttholes? ...since fundament is defined as follows:
fun·da·ment (fŭn'da-ment) n.
The buttocks.
The anus.
The natural features of a land surface unaltered by humans.
A foundation, as of a building.
An underlying theoretical basis or principle: “All neighbor states … must revise … their policy fundaments” (C.L. Sulzberger).
[Middle English foundement, from Old French fondement, from Latin fundāmentum, from fundāre, to lay the foundation, from fundus, bottom.]
Please advise.
