Just curious, what do Atheists think of Donald Trump?

Just curious,

I've been enjoying watching the republic debates, and particularly Donald Trump.

He states he is a Christian, but it is pretty clear for the most part that he derives his thinking from secular logic/morality.

Can we do a little poll?

Would you vote for Trump?

Thanks

I would, maybe. Delends who he ran against. But I wouldn't rule him out just because he's Donald Trump.

Michael...you are correct

All the Repugnican candidates, Trump included, are having fun expressing their contempt for the American voter by uttering the most inane BS, and the voters eagerly lap it up.

I think he's an arrogant SOB and I wouldn't vote him. The whole field of prospects just looks like a clown car exploded, to me, on both sides.

Bernie Sanders is the one candidate who presents as rational. Why does the media coddle all the religious nutbars and sociopaths? Nary a mention of Hilary's ludicrous claim of dodging bullets on an airport runway, and then there's hubby, famous for facing the nation and claiming "I did not have sex with that woman", and what do they do - like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse, they put him in charge of hundreds of millions collected for the Haiti earthquake victims.
What's been done with it, besides building six houses, and a Korean owned sweat shop?

I'd vote for Sellied Jerry as CEO of the New Zealand Wool Exchange before I'd vote for Trump.

Ol' Bern believes in God and goes out of his way to praise the pope.

Not sure I'd call that presenting as rational.

To declare non-belief in Gawd would be a death knell for any American running for office. At least Bernie is the only one I've heard talking reality on jobs, the economy, the war game, and the wealth gap. Of course, he may well be playing the usual game of telling voters what they want to hear, and, once elected, it's business as usual. Obama made nice speeches....

Agreed with you totally on unelectability of an atheist in the U.S. Unless it's for city council in Berkeley or something.

I don't see someone who admits they're a socialist getting elected president tho, either. That dog don't hunt with the vast majority of American voters, no matter how much sense it makes to American socialists. It's even too extreme for the MSM, which is why they bury coverage of mr. Sanders. If he were to somehow win the nomination, he would be marginalized by both the dem party and the media lapdogs.

Don't get me wrong. I hope he wins his party's nomination. I completely disagree ideologically with practically everything he says, but I think he's a good man and fairly apolitical. He has the courage of his convictions and is strong on the second amendment.

If America wants him, then I'd be cool with having an actual decent human being as president for once. There are so many worse options.

I still predict it will be the Donald.

He's an opportunist scumbag.

He was once a moderate Democrat, and admitted the the economy tends to do better under Democratic presidents.

Until this year, I would make a wager he has never stated he is a Christian.

Old topic, but no I wouldn't vote for him. He supports overturning Obergefell, and Roe V. Wade. And he named Mike Pence as his Vice Presidential Candidate. Putting that asshole a heartbeat away from the Presidency destroys any credibility he might have as secular to me.
