Most Haunted is an absolute scam. Derek Acorah, while he may have no departed due to these allegations, was exposed as a fraudster and the entire production was brought into disrepute. Most Haunted is a circus show, not anything to do with the paranormal.

If you can accept the notion of ghosts and spirits as real, it doesn't seem like a great leap towards believing in dead god-men rising and ascending to a "mysterious" realm called heaven.

For me, that would have nothing to do with it. The argument of ghosts aside; I would get creeped out in a spooky place through the atmosphere. The idea of being alone in a supposedly haunted house would make me, and I assume a lot more folk here than are letting on, pretty edgy and jumpy. I don't believe in ghosts, but that doesn't stop the dark, dusty furniture and creaky floorboards from getting me going.

Don't get me wrong.

I can understand being "creeped out" by a house with unpleasant aesthetics-- excessively creaking floor boards, musty-smelling furniture, too much paisley or green and gold shag carpeting from the 1970s. Personally, a house decorated entirely in French Provincial gives me the "wllies," as opposed to a "willy."

But what have cheap atmospherics borrowed from gothic novels and horror movies got to do with a house being haunted in real life? That's all I'm trying to understand.

You crazy Brits and your colorful speech. And what is this obsession you guys have with blood, anyway?
