Currently, Herman's Hermits, "Mrs Brown". A cheap mono copy. Did those guys ever make a stereo recording? Rhetorically speaking.

Have you tried Youtube to see if there is a stereo version?

I'll have to check that out, thanks. The whole CD sounds like it was recorded on someone's mono mike.

(Mike Rutherford: Who Is Fooling Who)

I love this album for some stupid reason, and as a 3 piece a couple friends and I worked on a cover version of this song.

I was brought back after seeing Mike and the Mechanics play in nearby Bethlehem. Cool backstory my friend got his arm signed by Mike before the show, to add to his Genesis arm sleeve, previously signed by Hackett. As I told him, it's now a mission to get the rest.

I first heard this song at the Allentown Fair in 2010 which is 100 meters away from my apartment, the stage is about 500. Anyway, I recorded the show and have listened to it many times, but tonight was the first time I read the lyrics (I nearly always like songs long before I figure out the lyrics/meaning).

The universe has a plan
All is for the best
Some will be rewarded
And the devil will take the rest

All is for the best
Believe in what we're told
Blind men in the market
Buying what we're sold
Believe in what we're told
Until our final breath
While our loving Watchmaker
Loves us all to death

In a world of cut and thrust
I was always taught to trust
In a world where all must fail
Heaven's justice will prevail

The joy and pain that we receive
Each comes with its own cost
The price of what we're winning
Is the same as what we've lost

All is for the best
Believe in what we're told
Blind men in the market
Buying what we're sold
Believe in what we're told
Until our final breath
While our loving Watchmaker
Loves us all to death

Until our final breath
The joy and pain that we receive
Must be what we deserve
I was brought up to believe

Until our final breath
The joy and pain that we receive
Must be what we deserve
I was brought up to believe

All is for the best
Believe in what we're told
Blind men in the market
Buying what we're sold
Believe in what we're told
Until our final breath
While our loving Watchmaker
Loves us all to

Believe in what we're told
Until our final breath
While our loving Watchmaker
Loves us all to...
Loves us all to death
