@Sammiesam12398: Welcome Sammie. I had a favourite dog called Sammy. Died a couple of years back but leaves me feeling positive about the name. Anyway, you seem to be among friends although there is around 8,000 miles between some of us and yourself.

Lol thanks. I actually get the dog story a lot. It was the saddest part of that movie I Am Legend
And it's nice in this day and age to be able to connect with at least slightly like minded individuals on the internet, especially when Atheism is scarce among the people I see in my daily life. Where are you from?

I'm Sammie, 22 years old, been an atheist for most all of my life. I just joined, and so far this seems like a pretty cool forum.
As for a career, I'm a student, studying Pharm Tech. I also do caregiving for the elderly. So how is everyone else doing?

Could you please bring me a blanket, my meds and some milk, sonny?
Thanks, oh, also welcome to the forum.

@Sammiesam12398. I was born in Scotland and my parents are Scots. However, I now live on the far west coast of Wales near the sea. Later this year I may be making a trip to the USA and I particularly want to visit Yosemite.

Hi Sammie!
Healthy genes act as team-players. They are teamish!
Their winning plays are salvations of an aliveness of which they are a part.
Only a fraction of genes are selfish/parasitic (and they parasitize teams).

Before you are propperly accepted here, you have to kiss and bow at my feet. Thanks in advance.
oh, and welcome to our humble forum!
One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.
