Fuck me! Bayern gets ManU in the next round, and have to play at Old Trafford in the 2nd leg.

Oh well, at least it's not Barca.

That one by Fulham was really something special. Roy Hodgson has done something noone had foreseen two years ago.

I'll be watching it live, in HD. I'm even skipping a meeting at work to do so.

But, it's a bit of a good news/bad news deal.

Good news, watching in HD, on a 100" screen (projector).

Bad news, watching it with a ManU fan (from Manchester, no less).

Now that is a rarity - a ManU fan from Manchester!
Give him a good slap and a load of abuse from a Brummie - and remind him what happened on Dec 12th last year! (I think Gabriel Agbohlahor got the winner)

I slap him every day anyway, maybe I'll kick him in the nuts from you.

But only in a friendly, non-violent way - unless Bayern get beat by lots of away goals!

Well, it turns out I didn't need to kick my buddy in the nuts: that was handled quite well by Ivica Olic.

Good game, overwhelming possession for Bayern (60-40, I believe), but goal chances on both sides.

Good news for me on the injury front, as United aren't half the team without Rooney, and Bayern should have Robben and Schweinsteiger back for the return match (barring injuries), and probably Gomez back at full strength and starting.

What could possibly go wrong?

The away goal could be more important than ever - and I ain't very confident of my Brit-wager going on Arsenal with Barca in the way! Still 0-0 and I'm out of beer dammit!

But, without Rooney, ManU is not the same. That's not to say that they suck without him, but if you look at how much he has carried the team with his scoring, I can't see Berbatov coming close to replacing him. I think Ferguson will have to come out with a more offensive lineup at home if he wants to advance (like starting Valencia).

But, Bayern, for all their faults, have actually played quite well on the road in the CL this season. They're always good for a goal, and with both Ribery and Robben attacking on the wings, and, hopefully, a fully fit Gomez in the middle, I would be surprised if they don't score at least one at Old Trafford.

I'm delighted that you sound like the BBC & Sky armchair pundits, renowned for getting it wrong oh so often! Football works in mysterious ways doncha know!

Fuck - Barca have just scored - 25 seconds after the restart. Must phone my Arsenal supporting mates!

I just saw the score update. Holy shit!

Good thing I recorded the game, I'll be watching it tonight.

And, tomorrow is the return leg of Bayern against ManU (without Rooney, if Ferguson can be believed). Trying to decide whether to take a half day, and watch it live.

You look at the score before you watch the recorded game? What kind of fan are you?
