Actually, neither Xenu or Galactus were "perfectly" evolved beings - Xenu was in the process of "being overthrown" - and Galactus was defeated numerous times by the Fantastic Four.

I should give a unique name for my divine being however... suggestions??

By the way, in case you haven't noticed, my divine being is not like Allah or Yaweh, in that the Christian and Muslim God is professed to being eternal, never evolved or created - God just was, perfect from the outset without explanation.

It is also worth reflection that if I posited my argument on a Christian or Muslim website they would call me an atheist, and in this website you would call me a theist. So I do think my argument has a certain novelty to it.
I never called you a theist. Unless "profoundly retarded cunt" is a synonym for theist. I'll admit it's pretty close.

Also, word to your mother: like your divine entity, galactus and xenu are imaginary. As are the fantastic four. The same amount of evidence exists for them as for your supreme being.

Also, I have maintained from the beginning that your theory of a supreme, divine entity that evolved had some novelty to it. As a thought experiment. But since you want to dogmatically defend it with zero evidence, that makes you a faith-based fundamentalist of whatever the fuck you call this thing you believe in.

Perfect. Wish I'd thought of that example.

5) There were wars, and incredible natural challenges - and the vast majority of beings died out accordingly, but eventually select being(s) championed the challenges.

6) Arising "champions" from all evolutionary "islands" within physical reality eventually, over an eternity past, found each other, and either learned to live together in peace or fight it out.

7) The being(s) standing after this process= the closest thing to God[...]
I think that's full Hubbard.

I will hand you one thing - you've come up with a theme for a solid B+ sci-fi novel. Little bit more work and a proper storyline could probably lift it to an A-.

But as a story - where gaps in logic and reality can be accepted with suspension of disbelief - is all it's good for, sorry.

Actually - I take it back. There's one other place you can get away with gaps in logic and reality, and that's religion.

So looks like you'll be fine, then.
Thanks Mike, from the atheist forum your comment is a nice as it gets, it almost brings a tear to my eye!

I sort of have to present the argument with a defence, it is what drives discussion and feedback from you guys.

I never said I believe in the evolved entity, I am agnostic too it, but I recognize it as a reasoned possibility - superior to most dogmatic theistic arguments which start with a perfect Creator who simply existed, without prior explanation.

Nice backpedal.

However a quick re-read through the thread tells a different story vis a vis your "agnosticism".

Like hell it is.

"reasonable possibilities" come with evidence and reasoned argument. You have neither.

I'm going to bet that his next argument goes something like this:

1) there are an infinite number of universes.
2) therefore there's a 100% chance that a God-like, indestructible being would have formed, through random chance, out of whole cloth, by the formation of at least one of those universes, you know, just by the way those random quantum particles arranged themselves and stuff.
3) chances are it happened in our universe, because, you know, math.

Of course. The people at CERN call it "The God Particle." What more evidence could you need?
