We do not take ownership of Benny Hinn just because he lives here now.
I don't blame you mate! ...but he's probably got citizenship so you gotta take him back?
...I wondered wtf is little ol' Benny doing 'downUnder' ....(small population less $).....but then again, around these parts there's a place called The Gold Coast...perhaps yews ("ya'll" in americanese) have heard of it? Its the kinda place that attracts all kinds of off shore 'has beens'...(mostly Yanks) Aging pop star going for their so call very last world tour? There are a lot of RSL clubs that will book them. I"m also surprised to see a few of those old fashioned Holy Roller Tent shows doing business in some of the suburban/city football fields once a year or so. I can't remember having heard of one of those in Aust since the 1970's?
There are so many telewevils ..and wives of said crooks these days! How can anyone keep up with all the bastards flying around the globe? ...Personally, I am looking for to the demise of Old Billy Graham, he also flew out to Aust in the late 60's...?
In the 2006 census, 64% of Australians were listed as Christian. 19% were listed as "No Religion"............etc etc.
I don't know how much weight I'd put on any census...its just a snap shot view of the population on that particular day/time frame. You know what they say about stats...
For this kind of question its better to chat to a few different people who live in Aust.
I've learned a fair bit about american christianity etc. from participating online...its been interesting to learn more about how my family of origin converted into that version of christianity.
Hey lihpappil ...I've travelled around Aust a fair bit ..I'm plonked in Brisbane at the moment. I"d say the rural culture is definitely influenced by christian values...but I also can't stomach the newagey spiritual brethren types around the coastline. Coffs Harbor is home to arseholes and all sorts these days. Pentecostals seem to be very popular ie....Hillshlong
