Im afraid all you did , was to swap religiousity for a different kind of religiousity . Instead of experiencing a true dynamic personal relationship with your Creator (the Universes' Creator) , you got a good dose of religious acting out in the form of doing sacraments, maintaining traditions, striving ahead thru meritorious deeds and morality, and the like. That is NOT what the true Christian Faith is . The real thing is a personal relationship by what CHRIST gave us, and not what we can DO to help ourselves. Also, you no doubt got important questions answered when you were in church ..so...between the two, you decided to exit and in so doing you choose to dispense with God . The baby being tossed out with the bath water so to speak.

Atheism will not nor cannot offer you anything permanently purposeful, meaningful as far as your life is concerned....and...it will lead you into a lifestyle choice which is dangerous and will cause you harm (especially sexual hedonism with the std epidemic having killed many thousands of lives) . It wont be worth it.

What is best for you, is to get all your many sins completely forgiven by what Christ did for you on the cross , then give him your life . , followed by getting into a good well balanced evangelical Church where yhou can grow in your personal relationship with God as well as others like yourself. If youre single, then find a church with an active Young Adult Singles Ministry . If you decide to go the way of the world (godless lifestyles, godless choices, 'freedom' to do as you like, and pretending Nothing produced everything from nothing by nothing without a shred of meaning...) then your life will be completely wasted because youll miss your true ultimate meaning for being here.

Now is the time to have a real deep talk with yourself and to count the costs. I dont believe you and i met by accident regarding this post. Regards.
